About

I am a New Zealand law student in my last year of studying with a politics degree.

I grew up in Palmerston North and live in Wellington. I am an active member of the Labour Party involved in campaigning particularly for Grant Robertson. I was President of the Young Labour branch VicLabour for the past year but do not currently hold a core position in Young Labour or VicLabour.

Despite being active in the Labour Party the posts on Political Dumpground are my own views and the blog was founded back in 2009 before I joined the party. I joined the party to find out more about politics which greatly increased my interest and this blog has become much more active since then. For anyone who currently isn’t a member of a political party I encourage you to join one and get involved.

I identify as being strongly on the left and as a liberal. Expect a lot of posting on economic issues, justice issues and party politics in general. For polls I try to ask questions that won't normally be on mainstream media so I have something extra to discuss so don't be surprised if there are crazy questions.

I am open to having guest posts and other people posting from any part of the political spectrum so long as it is interesting so if you want to then get in touch.
